A wide angle. portrait mode has the effect of bulging the rock face out towards us and since that is my subject here in all its rocky, textured surface that seemed a good move. The slanting light picked out the surface well. I included the point, the bay and mountain because i felt that context, setting, would make for a more interesting image. I am reminded of Jeffers poem, "Oh lovely Rock"and although this image tells detail, information, it is still a feeling, a poetic, image for me. Oh, lovely rock.
