When the snow covers the ground it reveals the passage of animals, from deer to rabbits and birds. The fascination of matching bodies to marks in the snow. Something our ancestors did as a matter of course, like reading a book. This photo then is not so much artwork as a record, what most photographs have been about since cameras became mobile. Where would the sciences be without information in picture form. The same principles apply however, for all photography,.does the photograph do what you want it to, communicate.
