Arbatskaya Metro Station in Moscow was build in 1953 is 41m underground and constructed as a bomb-shelter in case of a nuclear war. With it's 250m-Platform it is the second longest in Moscow. The station features low, square pylons faced with red marble and a high vaulted ceiling elaborately decorated with ornamental brackets, floral reliefs, and chandeliers.
