Interesting how the reflection is making eye contact, not the actual!

Man, I really like this shot, I think the black and white make it pop. Plus the Models eyes stand out in the shot with the dark eye lashes and brows.

Location
I actually just shot this downtown in Saint George, Utah, right up against one of the buildings here.Time
This was taken late afternoon on a cloudy day.Lighting
Honestly, this one is simple. This was shot on an overcast day, we waited until the afternoon so the light would be somewhat directional, although we had planned on it being super soft.Equipment
Shot on a Canon 5D Mark 3 with the 85mm lens opened up to f/1.2Inspiration
Honestly, I love the idea of playing with mirrors to modify where you (the viewer) and the subject are looking. It's a simple trick, but it adds a unique element to the photo that I really enjoy.Editing
Not too much in processing here. Mostly just balancing out the light and doing some basic vignetting to draw the attention to the subject's face.In my camera bag
These days I'm rocking a Sony A7r IV, my go-to lens is a 50mm or the 24mm.Feedback
Look for mirrors, windows, or any other type of reflection, and try to place the area of emphasis inside the actual reflection.
