Things got a little dicey on this particular day. Even though the road had at some point been plowed, it hadn't for quite while. This is a shot a took while descending, but only a few miles back, where the wind and east facing portions of the road lied, so did heavy, deep snow. The nice thing surrounding the previous plow is that you generally know where the road lies. The con is that turning around when it gets obvious your pushing it can be tough. At the same time there is no stopping or loss of momentum until that spot presents itself, otherwise, well getting going again can be even tougher.
