Behind The Lens

Location
This was taken at the model’s house. We just started with this outfit
Time
November later afternoon so it was getting dark. This was taken with flash
Lighting
Single light with a 24” soft box and grid as I recall to give the directed soft light
Equipment
Then this was taken with my trusty Nikon D800 with 70-200. Flash was a Godox with a 24” soft box and grid
Inspiration
I had the idea for some time to have a shot that was understated in its sexy ness a soft spoken sweater fitted the bill perfectly. And Rachelle is a joy to work with because she gives so much variation and expression to her posing.
Editing
Simple contrast and vibrance. Some frequency separation -but not much was needed. Dodging and burning.
In my camera bag
Nikon D800. 70-200 24-105. 50mm Fuji X-E1 with 18-55. 2 Godox flashguns.
Feedback
Vary the angles they you shoot at. Talk with (not to or at) your model. Let them know what you want to achieve and they will give you ideas. They do this for a living. Enjoy it.
