Lough Foyle Sunset (view from Binevenagh Lake)

I had planned to head to the Giants Causeway today after my last failed attempt but as i headed into Coleraine i was met with a large wall of fog, thinking it would clear i continued on into Bushmills only to have my positivity squashed. not wanting to give up i headed back into Coleraine and went the Coastal Route home via the Downhill. Heading into Articlave i could see there was minimal fog so figured i'd head to Binevenagh Lake.

Note: The road up to the lake is worse than an ole country lane so anyone heading up, take it easy and watch out for the large pot holes and the uneven terrain. Its especially sore on cars that have the low sports suspension.

As i arrived at the lake i could see a large grey cloud coming across from the East as well as the fog wall coming from the North along the coastline. I grabbed my gear and moved quickly to a decent vantage point along the front face of Bineveagh overlooking Magilligan and Donegal.

This image is a 5 shot HDR, blended in photoshop as i don't currently have any filters to balance the sky against the foreground to capture the scene in one shot, i blended these photos using layer masks & some final retouching in lightroom.
