Location
This was taken from my back door in North Dakota during the beginning of a blizzard. The tree was full of robins taking roost/shelter from the storm.Time
This shot was taken at noon, I was home over my lunch hour.Lighting
Although it was noon, the lighting was dimming because of the storm front moving in. The fading light helps give the view the feeling of the winter cold.Equipment
This was a spur of the moment capture so I grabbed my quick go to Panasonic Lumix. No flash, no tripod.Inspiration
The tree was filled with robins, the wind was picking up & the snow was starting to fall. The only sound was the wind. The robins were roosting quietly and occasionally warming themselves by fluffing up their feathers. It was such a peaceful picture, I couldn’t resist.Editing
No post-processing of this shot.In my camera bag
I am learning and challenging myself everyday. My Panasonic Lumix is always in reach, I usually have extra batteries and a tripod in my vehicle for that random moment.Feedback
I always try to look for the unique unusual shot of the everyday mundane view. You never know when you are going to get the “wow” picture. More is always better....
