I shoot sail boat races from the committee boat with our local club. Seriously hard work! At least you don't get a tripod :) Nice capture!

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken from my son`s house in Howrah, Tasmania, we stayed with them for a few months during October 2016 to January 2017, their house is next to the river Derwent Tasmania

Time

The photo was taken during the late afternoon between 5 and 7 pm

Lighting

The sun was setting and the late afternoon sun on the white sails created just the effect I was looking for and draw the attention to the repetition of the sailboats.

Equipment

Canon Power-shot SX60 HS on tripod without flash.

Inspiration

The late afternoon sun on the white sails and the the blue Mount Wellington in the background.

Editing

No I try to keep my photos as close as possible to the original scene

In my camera bag

My Canon Power shot and tripod

Feedback

Light is always my first consideration ! Wait for the right moment and the sailboats to be on the right position before you take your pic
