In 1957 Chevrolet Corvette (C1) was Detroit's first fuel injected vehicle.
With it's already sleek styling and light fiberglass body, the newly fuel injected, 283 cubic-inch V8 producing 283 horse-power (this 1:1 ratio was a record breaker at the time) and new 4 speed manual transmission, sent the Corvette on its way to becoming a legend, and caused America to fall in love with the Sportscar.
