Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on a wooden table in my dining room.

Time

It was late at night.

Lighting

Because it was late at night, there was no natural light from outside. I only used a light string for the background and a small lamp in the dining room for the basic lighting.

Equipment

This one was shot with my Nikon D800 and the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens. I used a tripod.

Inspiration

I love taking macro photos and I really like taking simple things in my natural environment.

Editing

I added a little bit of warmth and clarity to the image and enhanced the colors and especially the settings to get this mood.

In my camera bag

Normally I have my full equipment in my bag. The full frame Nikon D800, a Nikkor 28-300mm lens, a Nikkor 105mm macro lens, a Nikkor 50mm lens and sometimes I have the opportunity to use a Nikkor 14-24mm lens. Additionally I have a travel tripod, a cable release and some filters in my bag. Since a few months my DJI Mavic pro drone is also a part of my standard equipment which I take with me when I'm going to shoot.
