Location
This photo was taken on the Yangtze River in China in the month of January.Time
This was about 1am. I couldn't sleep and was very fortunate to be up reading when I glanced up and saw this bridge.Lighting
I used the light available. The bridge was pretty bright!Equipment
I was using a Sony Rx10iv at the time. No other equipment. Handheld on night multi-shot mode.Inspiration
I was really surprised to look up and see this in the middle of the night. I ran up to the deck and nobody else was there to witness this except a couple of crew members. The bridge kept changing scenes. It was amazing.Editing
I normally just use the basic panel in Lightroom unless a shot requires something more advanced like spot removal in Photoshop. In my camera bag
It depends on what I am setting out to photograph. For night photography, my Sony 7R4 with 18-24 wide angle and tripod, or my 200-600 for wildlife. In this case, I only had my Sony bridge camera (Rx10iv) which has a handheld night setting that works wonderfully with lit subjects like this bridge.Feedback
Know your settings and experiment. Tripods are normally needed for night photos but being on a moving ship this was not possible so I used a night mode setting that shoots multiple shots and stitches them together. Take several shots. It is hard to keep still!
