This entire web is a spiral! The image was taken in November at the entrance to Green Cay Wetlands in Boynton Beach, Florida. On that day, the entrance boardwalk featured at least 6 or 7 of these dinner plate sized magnificent webs. It wasn't until I was closely editing the picture that I noticed the spiral in the middle of the web and that the entire body of the web was a spiral. The non poisonous arthropod is called a Spiny Orb Weaver Spider.
