Cape Cod National Seashore

Time

I hiked through the dunes in the dark for about 40 minutes to reach the dune shack before sunrise. This show was take at just before sunrise at about 630 am

Lighting

Lighting was from behind and to the left, but not strong enough to overpower the dune shack

Equipment

Canon Mark iii with Canon 16-35 L series lense

Inspiration

I saw this dune shack in a photo and spent about 6 months trying to locate it among the 19 historic dune shacks on the National Seashore. I finally found and old map with some photos that showed me the one I was looking for.

Editing

Processed in LR, nothing too severe as I had great natural light.

Feedback

Be very sure of the best lighting and time of day. Also, make the shack part of the environment to show the beautiful setting.
