New Zealand's alpine parrot, the Kea, is both loved and hated... It has total protection by the government, and has a cheeky character, often pestering for food or chewing on your car or anything you leave out! Also known to chew through tents, and more worryingly, climbing ropes! They are very beautiful birds, and I was lucky enough to get this shot when he decided to come and see if I had any food to offer him!
