from my trip to Norway, Froya island. Me and my friend were fishing at Hallaren coast, was hoping for shots of eagles, no luck though, but I got a beautiful shot of sunset with my friend silhouette in the scene and I think all works well

This photo was taken at Hallaren (I suppose its a village) in Froya, Island Norway.Time
It was late evening, probably about 10pm. And what I discovered that in the summer it doesn't get any darker than that all night.Lighting
As I mentioned earlier I wasn't planing to take any photos at that time. I saw an eagle in the sky and obviously only then I noticed that beautiful sky with mesmerizing sunsetEquipment
Shot was taken with Canon 7D and my most favorite lens Canon EF-S 10-18mm with image stabilizer. super lens. The was a times where I shot with it at 1/4 of the second hand held and got good results. This photo was shot at 10mm wide, F9 1/60s at 200 ISOInspiration
I was visiting my friend. And that evening we went fishing, there was no plan to take pictures, but I still had camera with me. I saw an eagle in the sky and obviously only then I noticed that beautiful sky with mesmerizing sunset, as I looked down at my friend I remembered the words of my colleague photographer before my flight not to forget to do wide landscape with a silhouette of the man. And then I realized that is it, its a perfect scenery of landscape with a silhouette. So its a big thank you to the eagle and my colleague photographer for this shot to happen.Editing
Yes I do in Photoshop: normally would work with colors in RAW and then usual contrast, highlights, shadows . ad few filters if feel needed in Photoshop later on.In my camera bag
Camera Canon 7D and Canon EF-S 10-18mm lens. dont have tripod I use monopod stick if needed.I do not use any of the filters on my lens, not a fan of them, because its reduces how much light comes in to the sensor which means I would need to use tripod at some point and I dont like them as well, tripod reduce my mobilityFeedback
always have camera handy, with nature you never now whats next and it may be very short time window to make a shot, because another second the scene can be completely different.
