A rare winter migrant that I was lucky enough to have found !!!!! Usually they are found forty feet up in a conifer tree. Getting a decent photo through pine needles, pine cones, and branches is not used for anything other than documentation. I found this one I named "Otus" two inches off the ground on a fallen branch. I don't think I will ever get this opportunity again.
