Location

I took this photo during a fire gathering in Paris, at "Le Palais de Tokyo".

Time

Obviously by night. A pitch black one.

Lighting

The light was only coming from the LED hoop of Savannah, the performer. It was brand new. It's bright enough to take a well exposed photo, but of course, a very low key image.

Equipment

As most of the time, my trusty Nikon D750 with a 24 70mm f/2.8, my go to lens.

Inspiration

I teach photography and graphic arts…When I saw the rainbow colors of Savannah's LED hoop, it reminded the first logo of a french TV network called Canal+. The network still exist but their logo is colorless now. So I asked Savannah to stand as still as possible with the hoop on her face. It took only 3 seconds, camera in burst mode and I had my shot.

Editing

Very minimal Camera Raw processing. The shot was already as intented SOOC.

In my camera bag

Same trusty D750 and 24-70 zoom.

Feedback

It's a quite easy shot. Framing and composition are key here.
