Location
Just 1 mile outside my hometown, Ter Apel, there is this little street colled "Ter Haar" and we love to walk our dogs around this canal.Time
After 4 days being covered in the fog this was the first morning where we saw the sun again and since it had been freezing for days this is what the fog gave us, a very special treat!Lighting
The lighting was perfect as the sun made it's way up.Equipment
I used my Olympus OM-D EM5 II together with the 12-40mm F/2.8 pro for this photo, it's my golden combination and partner in crime.Inspiration
As said before this was shot in the winter after a really foggy period and it was the first day we could actually see more than 25 meters in front of us. I always wanted to make that one winter shot in our area, that one shot that makes people go quiet. A lot of my fellow villagers didn't even recognise this place and found it magical.Editing
Nothing too serious, simply some straightning in Lightroom. In my camera bag
My Olympus OM-d EM5 II, 12-40mm f/2.8, 40-150mm F/2.8, stative, crystal ball, cleaning gear and spare battery's!Feedback
Be patient, weather can't be told what to do and where to be pretty. Don't give up if the first photo doesn't look as good as you want it to be just keep going and try to have fun. When it's cold, dress up warm and wear gloves to protect your fingers as they will get cold looking for that one awesome shot!
