Two and a half years ago, I had a dream about my darling friend Natalie holding a beautiful baby girl. Night after night, I had the same dream about her. A glowing gorgeous mama, looking at her perfect baby. Finally, I told Nat about my dream. She was excited, but skeptical. And now, her baby girl is here. Welcome, baby Kalli. We've been waiting for you.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my studio in Old Town Pocatello. The mama of this sweet babe had 2 boys, and wanted a girl so badly. Night after night, I had the same dream of her holding a perfectly chubby pink baby girl. Finally, I told her about the dream. She laughed and said her mother had been having a similar dream! 3 years later, here is a dream come true. A perfect, pink, chubby baby girl. I chose this dreamy photo of her baby toes because its one of my favorite things about little ones. Perfect little feet. Welcome, blessed baby. We've been waiting for you.

Time

It was about 2:30 in the afternoon.

Lighting

Lighting was natural light through the large windows in my studio. I like to say the lighting is by God.

Equipment

I love my Nikon and 35mm lens. I also used a soft crystal fractal filter on my lens.

Inspiration

Baby toes! Nothing I love more. Except maybe chubby arms. Or the chunky legs. Or the cheeks. Or eyelashes. Gah! I love babies. All of them.

Editing

I processed in PS with Florabella Trinity actions.

In my camera bag

I love my Nikon d7100 for on the go sessions.

Feedback

Have patience! Babies have their own schedule, and newborns even more so. I'm usually in the studio with a newborn for 3-4 hours.
