This is Edinburgh Castle taken from quite a long way away and was shot on New Year's Day after sunrise in the morning. This view shows it's commanding position in the City and how it can watch over large parts of it and further afield. It was actually built on an extinct volcano and you can see the rock that maybe was a part of this.
