The brown bear is enjoying the first rays of sunshine after a long winter. I think the best way to photograph bears in the wild, is to get them in a picture with a snowy scenery. I spent night (24hrs) in a tiny box in the middle of a forest near the Russian boarder. I was photographing one of European's biggest predators, the brown bear. There seems to an unwritten rule amongst the animals living in the forest which is respect the brown bear. It was an awe inspiring night! Ps. This is one the best places in Europe for bear spotting.

How did you keep from freezing? Or maybe you did! We have both blacks and grizzlys around here, which I guess is a sub species of brown bear.
