Sitting quietly near ruins on the North Oman Coast this Green (Emerald or 'Smaragdspint' in German) Bee-eater came to keep me company. Close enough that even with my bridge camera (Lumix FZ150 with x2 lens attached) I could make a good quality picture. Being close is important! In Africa they are found along the Nile (Merops orientalis).
