I captured this Merlin in a spruce tree that had just been occupied by a flock of Doves. They left very quickly and the Merlin perched for a few moments before taking flight. It is seldom seen this far north in winter so I was delighted to be able to capture this image!

A Merlin perched in a tree with a little snowfall.

As the spider was wrapping the fly with it's web, It looks like the web is shooting from a face! I see eyes, nose, cheeks and mouth where the web

Not something you see often, the beautiful lemon yellow under wing of the Pine Siskin.

This juvenile Bald Eagle was checking me out as I walk a wooded trail.

Notice how he matches his surroundings with his eye patches. Looks more like he is flying then running.

I captured this Ruby-throated Hummingbird that was checking out my milkweed plant. I love Hummingbirds but then again I love birds period!

While walking a wooded trail this Red Squirrel approached and gave me the feeling I was trespassing!

A Lesser Yellowlegs just before landing!

I captured this snake crossing a trail and some how managed to pick up small stones on it's eye. Not something you see everyday.

The rain had just stopped and the sky started to clear. I had perfect light to capture this little Song Sparrow and all it's wet feathery details

A young male Ruby throated Hummingbird. You can see the red feathers just appearing!

Spring has sprung in NB.
