Every now and then, you get a shot that happened so fluidly, it was just meant to be. This northern mockingbird landed on a post a few feet in front of me while I was out trying to see some sandhill cranes in for the season. He was at a near perfect level for my lens already, so all I needed to do was one small adjustment on my lens for distance, and start clicking. He stayed long enough for several interesting poses, but this was my favorite of the set.
