Location
I took this picture just behind the old fishing port of Callelongue, in one of the Calanque near Marseille.Time
I me to remember as if it was yesterday, it was 7 degrees and rather sweet for a January 2, 2017, the weather was stormy since the day before, minutes earlier heaven was clogged and the light did not filter through the clouds, preventing the colors of the landscape to express themselves... Suddenly a breakthrough, the light was like explode on the horizon!Lighting
Then it was probably Sunrise the strangest I could photograph, light and colors have remained almost unchanged over 30 minutes, as if time had stop so that we can enjoy the best of the show!Equipment
For this photo I used my Canon 6 d and Canon 16-35mm F4 L IS USM, a Vanguard Alta Pro 263 tripod and ballhead SB100, him polarizing Nisi CPL Landscape Pro on the door filter Nisi V5.Inspiration
I was very inspired by this rock with its peculiar shape, at the first glance I was fascinated by the movement of the waves around him. The stormy atmosphere, the movement of the waves, a rock standing out of the reef, a natural opposition of colors, the photo was born in my head!Editing
Yes I used Photoshop to enhance the atmosphere of this photo, make up the sky, calm a color cast that disrupted the reading of the image. In my camera bag
In my Lowerpro when I go hiking I routinely carry with me, my Canon 6 d, Canon 16-35mm F4 L IS USM, Canon 70-200mm F2.8 I USM, a Samyang 14 mm F2.8, a Nisi Filters V5 kit which includes polarizing it Landscape Pro and the ND1000 stop. A tripod Vanguard Alta Pro 263 with patella SB100. I use a LCDVF for better immersion in my picture on the ground.Feedback
To highlight this Rock movement of the waves I worked on my time, on the shot I had to take a composition suited me and a nice line on the waves around rock, that’s consisted to observe what was going on in front of me. Then on the post-processing part I removed the Magenta cast in layers of blue, create vignetting with Google Nik Collection.
