Location
This image was taken at Port Fourchon, Louisiana.Time
I'm not exactly sure what time this photo was taken. I was on a friend's sailboat helping him move the boat from Louisiana to Florida.Lighting
The lighting provided in this image came purely from the docks. There was no additional lighting available.Equipment
Do to helping a friend I didn't go on this trip prepared to shoot. This image was captured with my Galaxy s6 phone while standing on a moving boat.Inspiration
I loved the way the lights illuminated the crane from behind and I found myself wishing I had brought my camera. In a pinch I grabbed my phone thinking there was no way I'd get a good picture do to the rocking of the boat, but my smart phone proved it's ability to me with this shot.Editing
The only adjustments to this image was a curves adjustment, and a boost in saturation and contrast. In my camera bag
I typically always have a tripod with me, my 70-300mm lens, 35mm lens and macro lens. I also find having ND filters and a shutter release a necessity.Feedback
I highly recommend a tripod, shutter release and being on a stable surface lol.
