I reached my favorite site near former Czechoslovak border well before dusk. Silver-studded Blue is the most common butterfly there but I couldn't find more that a few dozens on recently mown meadow. I knew they roost gregariously and the bell ringed when I looked at adjacent barley field. Indeed, thousands were hiding there hanging like drops on barley spikes. They certainly chose the best place for that night.
