Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Lake Cerrillos, Ponce Puerto Rico.

Time

It was about 9:00a.m. when the picture was taken.

Lighting

Since it was a cloudy day a flash was used(I try not to use it as much as possible).

Equipment

I used a Canon 5d mark iii and a Canon 500mm f4 ii L series lens. I also used a Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT.

Inspiration

Nature inspires me to photograph birds.

Editing

I worked the highlights and shadows in the photo. I also added sharpening and a little bit of vignetting to the photo.

In my camera bag

When the day is cloudy I carry a flash, cleaning tissues and a polarizer filter for this lens.

Feedback

Respect the animal's habitat, do not harass them and wear camouflage clothes. Be very patience.
