A few summers ago I was fortunate to go on a 7 week solo cross country trip visiting 13 national parks, numerous state parks, and many amazing cities. Great Sand Dunes was one of my favorite stops! On this extremely windy evening I hiked up to "High Dune" (or at least high enough dune...) to shoot the sunset. It was amazing! More amazing... I didn't get completely sand blasted. I can't wait to go back!
