What an incredible night it was. The Milky way whinging bright and even a small Aurora glow:) I have been wanting to photograph here at night for years now. This year I tried to get a bit more prepared, I knew milky way season was fast approaching and I tried my best to time for conditions accordingly. It nearly all came together. I was blessed to have the Aurora on this night too! By 3am the core was in the right spot but unfortunaetly the Aurora had died down substantially from a kp 4-5 to around 3 as well as cloud cover rolling in. I opted to wait until things cleared and instead of a straight up and down image above the lighthouse I wanted the core to not be hidden.
