This image was taken from the Mt. Baker Ski Area in late October before heavy snows began to fall. The leading edge of glacial ice can be seen near the center of the image as a faint aqua color

Mt. Shuksan is located in the Northern Cascades. Its highest peak rises to 9,139 Ft. and lies 11 miles South of the Canadian border.

Fantastic shot! They call that Rumble Gully. Skiers can hear the rumble of avalanche activity quite often. By the time you can hear it, it is gone.
