Location
This shot was taken at Butler Beach, Florida. We (my wife "the model" and me) were working on some family photos,Time
We wake up at 4:00 am for this session, we have to wake up that early since we don't have sunsets, I meant we have it but we have to travel 3 hours to get to enjoy them...When we finished we start packing up the equipment, I was back and forward from the beach to the car, and it was in one of those back to the beach that I saw her silhouette and I couldn't miss this shoot, I shout at her, "Please Bella, don't move" set up my camera and....this is what we have....A beautiful silhouette from my wife carrying a camera bag. :)Lighting
I love natural light, it brings the essence of what we see, form, deep, shape. The sun was harsh and the foreground was dark, I have to look for the balance between those two fanctorsEquipment
I used Nikon D7000, Lens AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Special Edition,Inspiration
I feel inspired in everything I see, from the little caterpillar that eventually becomes a beautiful butterfly to the magnificence of the sun rising at the horizon...is beautiful and when is mixed with a subject become a masterpieceEditing
I use Lightroom for all my work. It keeps me organized, in this specific photo I did increase the exposure to +1.4, highlights to -5 and shadows to +16, enable profile correction...In my camera bag
The first thing I pack is my Nikon D500, the companion is my favourite, the Nikon AF-S DX 16 - 80mm f/2.8 I love this lens, is versatile and very sharp, My back up is a Nikon D7000, with the same lens in addition to a Tamron SP 70 - 200 f/2.8Feedback
Although it was tricky because of the low light surrounding the path and the harsh light from the sun, I have to look for a balance between those elements, I set up the camera to capture foreground and background, (f/18) set the ISO at 500 and then I played with the speed, did three shoots three different speed setting, 1/1000 - 1/2500 - 1/5000 and the second was the winner...
