Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the backyard of my first home. I had never seen this variety of flower before that shot up on its own, presumably from a wildflower seed pack sprinkled by previous owners.

Time

It must have been around noon as the light was harsh.

Lighting

Being an amateur photographer at the time, I didn't realize this is not normally prized lighting to work in, but was more focused on the beauty of the flower and the delicate dew. Maybe that was for the best as I think technicalities often get in the way of creativity.

Equipment

Actually, it was taken in my phone in macro mode. This photo is was sparked me to get my first camera.

Inspiration

My love for nature and particularly seeing pieces of nature that are overlooked or too small for the normal eye. I have always been fascinated by the small world below us.

Editing

Nope, this is exactly as it was.

In my camera bag

Now, it's normally my Nikon with a portrait lens, prime lens, and telephoto lens along with a polarizing filter and tripod.

Feedback

Behind light is shadow and below your perspective is often an even better one.
