Looks absolutely delicious. Excellent icing job :) Great idea to cut out a piece... really adds to the composition. The mandarin ? orange slices also make a great contrast. I also like the way you used a square plate to accentuate the angular nature of the presentation.

Thank you so much Mehen!! :D I'm very proud of this photo as not only was it my challenge to get a good shot it also was my challenge to make a cake like this...I'm not really much of a baker but when i do, there lies the challenge to get it right! Hahaha :D It certainly was delish especially when you drizzled the candied mandarin syrup on the cake just before you ate it :P
