The building in the middle is the Station de la Para at 1685m this is the original lift station of the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix. It was finished in 1924 and stands as a testimony to man's ingenuity and hard work. The Bosson Glacier runs behind it with the slopes of Mont Blanc above.
