The first president of the United States lived in this mansion in the 1700's. Today, it is a well preserved historical site where millions of people visit each year.

I recently visited Mt. Vernon for the purpose of finding out exactly where the Milky Way rose over the mansion on April 1 around 4am in the morning. With my special iPhone app, I quickly determined when and where it rose with respect to the mansion from this particular site. Now you also may see where our first president saw the Milky Way here in this photo.
