Location
This photo was taken somewhere in Lincolnshire, England - quite near to my cousin's house where I was staying. One of those photos that just happened to work out - we were driving at that point.Time
This photo was taken mid-morning - the lighting was perfect for this shot.Lighting
The lighting just worked out beautifully for this shot. It was quite an overcast day, and very foggy - the fog was nicely wisping between all the trees, which was perfect for this photo - but it was still bright enough out to get this shot.Equipment
Only equipment used was my Canon Rebel t6i camera, with my 18-55mm EFS lens. No flash was used - I rarely use a flash, I prefer to work with the lighting & the settings on the camera.Inspiration
My camera travels with me everywhere, as I have found that so many times I have come across the perfect shot just while out & about. In this case, we were just driving along, and turned down this tree-lined lane. I loved how the fog added such depth to the scene, and the lighting was just perfect - the scene was so mysterious/dreamy/moody that I had to capture it!! I love taking a photo that tells a story - although other people may not see the story in it, each photo I take has a meaning to me, and takes me back to that story/memory each time I look at them.Editing
Nope!! I try to get the settings right on my camera so that I don't have to edit later. In my camera bag
My camera (which is now a Canon Rebel t7i), my 2 lenses (wish there were more!), spare batteries & camera cards etc, at least 1 tripod, depending on the situation. If I'm doing portrait photography, I also take along an external flash & reflectors (as well as plenty of props!!).Feedback
Honestly, just try to find the moment and capture it. Make sure your camera is on the right settings - I always shoot on manual, adjusting the aperture, shutter speed, & ISO as I go. Sometimes you may have to wait for the moment, other times (like when I took this photo), the moment is just right & you have to snap away to capture the moment before it's lost!! :)
