Love love love this!! The landscape is gorgeous! It’s secluded, yet welcoming at the same time! ❤️❤️

Location
The photo was taken in a valley in South Tyrol, Italy, named Villnöß-Tal. There located is the church St. Johann and the majestic mountains of the dolomites.Time
It was a beautiful autumn day, shortly before sunset. The clouds and also the top of the mountains were already wonderful coloured by the sun. It was 4.33 p.m. on October 27 last year.Lighting
For a more dramatical impression, I darkened the clouds and lightrned the centre. The late afternoon light was really great!Equipment
I used my EF 16-35mm f/4L at 35mm on my Canon EOS 6D. For that picture I didn´t need nothing else but this stunning location and the right light.Inspiration
I often saw pictures from this location and I was very impressed by the dialogue between architecture and nature.Editing
Like every landscape picture I did some editing like increasing contrast, improving light and colours. To make this scene more dramatic I added a darken & light vignette. In my camera bag
I always take my Canon EOS 6D and my landscape lens EF 16-35mm f/4L with me. Besides I alway need my tripod and some filters from Lee to make long exposures or to darken the sky.Feedback
The weather conditions in the italian dolomites are really changeable. For this picture I had to wait five days because of cloudy and foggy conditions the days before. So I think in landscape photography in general you must be very flexible in scheduling and you must have an understanding partner. Thanks a lot to my wife Claudia, who always has the patience to do photographic excursions with me like this!
