After moving to the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, along the White River, I began to hear some of the legends of the 'haints' living here. The stories have been retold for generations by the mountain people, and some of the older residents swear to their authenticity. This image of the White River was taken near my cabin. I edited it hoping to capture that eerie feeling that I get when hearing the old ghosts stories.

Taken from a mountain top in Sylamore, Arkansas. This is my favorite 'sunset watching' location.

As I photographed this Arkansas barn, a breeze lifted the American flag, bringing the scene to life. I had one shot before all was still again.

I was shooting animal photos at the zoo when I captured this incredible still moment and dreamy gaze of the ocelot.
