Behind The Lens

Location

In my hobby Photo studio.

Time

It was in the evening, I needed the room dark for this project.

Lighting

I set up 2 speed lite flash from the back and site of the apple to catch the splash.

Equipment

I used a canon 5D Mark II with a 50mm lens on a manfrotto tripot and a cable release.

Inspiration

The idea in my head was to shoot an apple cracking up on a wet surface. I wanted to create drama and action....and the unusual idea of an apple cracking up on impact which they normally would not do !

Editing

As I photographed the apple and its pieces separately, I used photoshop to place the apple pieces in place as if they are flying off on impact.

In my camera bag

Besides my canon camera I always have the 24-105 zoom lens and my favorite 100mm macro lens with me. But it depends what I want to shoot, for landscapes I bring my tripod and so on.

Feedback

The first thing would be patience and the second an idea interesting enough for you to finish the project to the end. I also get inspired by looking at others work which inspires me and then try and do something similar.
