Not ready to get up and dance
After a bit of climb from the Loop on Granite Park Trail, which shared a section of it with the Continental Divide Trail (CDT), I arrived at Granite Park Charlet, which is a cottage that accommodates hikers-backpackers with a view. Unfortunately, when I got there, most of the mountain view remained in the morning mist-clouds. Before continuing my hike to the top of Swiftcurrent Mountain, aka Swiftcurrent Fire Lookout, I came across this patch of Glacier Lilies. These mountain-dew-collecting yellow wildflowers were not ready to get up and dance under the pale sky yet. I took a break here while appreciating this PNW climate that I knew I’d miss.
