The beauty of Africa's savannah landscapes for me is not only in the well known mega fauna but the birdlife is incredible as well. I do realize you need to get through that first shock of seeing Zebra's, Elephants and Lions the first time before you start noticing sceneries like this Black Shouldered Kite plucking a fresh carcass. From that noticing comes a sense of understanding on how the full eco-systems work....and that is the beauty of nature for me!
