This is a little closer shot of this hawk coming out of the tree. It was looking directly at me. I had my camera on my monopod and had been standing for over 40 minutes waiting for it to fly. I lost sight of it and began looking around, expecting it to be on or near our bushes where the little birds hide. It was not there and I glanced down and there it was on my boot. He looked back as I looked down and took off back into the tree. I could not believe what had just happened!
