1. While I am glad many other people are as utterly horrified at what a total shitbag the president-elect is, this is a democracy and he won the election. Protests are purely symbolic at this point.

2. I could only watch about two minutes of Secretary Clinton’s concession speech before The Sadness returned - only this time it wasn’t about the footing white supremacy just found in our democracy, but rather for the woman who has given her life to public service only to lose to a spray-tanned reality star who couldn’t even successfully launch his own brand of steaks.

I just can’t imagine another such woman knocking on that ceiling for a good while. The concept of "dignity" lost a lot of equity, yesterday.

3. That poor chrump now has to actually BE a President. For four years. Ha! Good luck with that, dude. (Don't forget: you promised to rid the world of that pesky ISIS...) 4. Those who voted for Trump must absolutely OWN this choice, and every consequence in its wake. For the ages.

5. Thank God I live in true-blue Chicago.
