For these shots I wanted to capture a little more detail of the area around the fireworks.Equipment
For this shot I used a Nikon D610 with a 16-35mm Nikon lens on a tripod with a remote shutter release.Inspiration
I went to the Fair that day hoping to take some great fireworks shots.Editing
This was processed using LR and a plugin from On1 Software.In my camera bag
I usually carry 16-35 and 80-400 Nikon lenses. I also carry an assortment of ND filters and tripod.Feedback
I have taken fireworks photos a few times before but for these shots I left my shutter open a second or 2 longer anywhere from 2 to 4 seconds. These are my best fireworks photos and I think having the shutter open longer was part of the reason it worked so well.
