On the road out of Serengeti National Park we spotted a female lion resting under a tree on meters from the edge of the highway. When we pulled over we noticed she was nursing a couple of cubs. She quickly moved them to the long grass for protection and carefully watched on as we captured their beautiful faces. This cub really was her pride and joy.
