Ropeneck is a regular visitor to Donna Nook, Lincolnshire, UK. In 2000 she came to give birth, but was found in a highly distressed state with discarded fishing net embedded in her neck. The wardens cornered her and removed the offending net and rope, but this left the deep scars seen round her neck. She has returned to pup every year since wit the exception of 2006.
