I took this photo in my garden at Duncans Creek, NSWTime
It was around lunch time under the shadeLighting
Putting my ISO higher and lowering my shutter speed made up for the fact I was in a well shaded area, I also liked the way the natural light was seeping in through the opposite direction lighting the leaf.Equipment
I used my Canon 1100D, 18-55mm lens and a spray bottle to get the droplets happeningInspiration
Before taking this photo I had previously seen some amazing 'droplets on flowers' photos from the Droplets On Flowers Photo Contest, I had no flowers opened at the time, but loved the idea.Editing
Using Photoshop Elements I de-saturated the leaf keeping most the droplets in full colourIn my camera bag
The essentials are always in my bag. Camera, lens, and more important cleaning gear!Feedback
When capturing droplets, try not to go to far and saturate the leaf or flower, in most cases the effect will work better on a complete dry leaf.
