Location
This is an empty field in the Niagara Falls City area, most likely to become a housing development in the near future.
Time
Very early morning and due to the Niagara region's geographical position, our climate is slightly varied from other regions in Ontario, thus this year, it has been extraordinarily foggy at times.
Lighting
The dawn was just beginning to break, and combined with the cool weather & misty conditions, the colours appeared much more interesting and visually stimulating.
Equipment
Nikon D5200, Nikkor DX 55-200mm lens, no flash, no tripod.

Inspiration
I was driving by and I immediately was struck by the simple but yet complicated beauty of the scene.
Editing
Yes, I use Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop to help enhance but not distort the lighting and atmosphere.
In my camera bag
The standard everyone carries however, I always carry a healthy snack, granola bar or something that can keep my energy going. As a visual person, I can become so focused that time just poof, is gone. I need a boost to keep me going and a small snack or two is really important.
Feedback
The golden time. The beautiful morning or evening light that just seems to cast a more appealing and stimulating glow to subjects. Get up early or plan your shoot according to sunset times. Show up early so that you don't miss the different angles and looks the light gives. And always be prepared! I keep my gear packed by the door and spare, charged batteries ready to go. Capturing the perfect moment can mean anticipating and preparing for opportunities.
